e.com - ReportWatch: What’s in the names?
enterprise.com
enterprise.com (e.com) specializes in report input, evaluation, analysis and benchmarking.
Our goal is to help our customers improve their “reporting bottom lines”, by enhancing report value, reflecting company value, showing investor value, and finally increasing stakeholder value.

e.com has developed an international, independent, integrated, content-based and competitive approach to assess and compare annual reports -in print and online- as well as other investor information instruments and market communication tools.
Our founders, staff and network have operated in 30 countries and consulted for 130-plus corporate clients on more than 400 reporting operations and customized reviews, from Amsterdam to Tokyo, Stockholm to Vancouver; from Greater London to Illinois to Hong Kong. Our clientele mainly consists of CFOs, IR officers, CC managers, report teams of listed blue chips. It also includes spin-offs, IPOs, consultants, analysts, design agencies and -private or institutional- investors.

A spin-off from The Enterprise Group (est. 1986, inc. 1990, liq. 1999), e.com is now a U.S.-U.K. venture. With head office in London, and team and network partners based in or near major financial centers in Britain, Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific, e.com is in the loop on reporting standards, requirements, and best practices. The company is independent and not affiliated with any bank, government, accounting, auditing or rating institution or professional organization.

ReportWatch
ReportWatch is the trademark -and the website- for the report monitoring, scanning, scoring and rating process that results in the Annual Report on Annual Reports. Created in 1996 within The Enterprise Group, and based both on e.com’s internal desk research and an external rating panel of reporting specialists, this survey of annual reports’ best practice is often regarded as the most comprehensive, international and authoritative survey on annual reports.

Annual Report on Annual Reports

Best annual reports 2011 Annual reports from the financial sector are no longer selected for our competition. This does not imply that there are not (sometimes very) good and improved reports in the sector. However, for consistency, comparability and credibility reasons it has been decided not to include any. On a customized basis, e.com keeps on evaluating and benchmarking financial sector reports.

A “REPORT” ON CRISES AND ON TODAY’S CAPITALISM

The Seven Deadly Sins of Capitalism, by e.com founder Mike Guillaume
Capitalism reported

Booms and busts are part of capitalism. But bubbles burst and crises repeat more often and much faster than in the past.

One thing is certain: for all its virtues, and there are still some, the market no longer has all the answers to all the problems.

Do capitalism's new sins outweigh its old virtues? Wearing two hats -financial reporting specialist and economist- e.com's founder and manager Mike Guillaume has got good vantage points for watching companies, economies and economics work (or not). He asks questions -from small to essential- and tries to give answers in a short and well-documented book.

Read chapters of Mike Guillaume's book and much more -from him and other minds- about the economics, capitalism, and alternative ways to "reinvent free markets for welfare" on http://www.mikeconomics.net
