- Details for each set of criteria may be provided on request.
- Neither the score nor the breakdown are publicly disclosed. These are only available through an order for a Report Scan (°) made by the company or its representative (internal or agency). In addition to the marks, the Report Scan gives an overview of pluses and minuses on all report items.
- The scoring process is managed by e.com team or report analysts. Based on this, a selection of reports is submitted to a rating panel. From the joint e.com and panel's work result a report rating (from D to A+ or (*) to *****). Report ratings are published in the Annual Report on Annual Reports.

Annual reports from the financial sector are no longer selected for our competition. This does not imply that there are not (sometimes very) good and improved reports in the sector. However, for consistency, comparability and credibility reasons it has been decided not to include any. On a customized basis, e.com keeps on evaluating and benchmarking financial sector reports.
